Zeta Tau Alpha was founded on October 15, 1898, by nine young women at Virginia State Normal School (now Longwood University) in Farmville, Virginia. The Kappa Psi chapter was installed on December 9th, 2006.

 

Sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha adopt the same belief that the association shall be to intensify friendship, promote happiness among its members, and in every way to create such sentiments; to perform such deeds, and to mould such opinions as will conduce to the building up of a nobler and purer womanhood in the world.
